Have you had success with the Urinary Track Rotor Rooter procedure or wish you had tried FloMax? To help empty your bladder vs urinary track and bladder infections from not emptying good.
Urinary track? Is that the speedway from Urinetown?
Tract!
I’ve been on a Flomax/Proscar regime for 10 years and it’s worked so well the doctor has reduced from three exams per year, to two, and now to one.
I would like to avoid any procedure which has potential side effects including incontinence and/or impotence as long as possible.
After experiencing total blockage, I was put on Flomax and Proscar, which worked immediately. After 2-3 years, they’re still working.
My Primary Care suggested and gave me a Flomax Script 5 yrs ago. My Urologist gave me samples less than a year ago and said they work quick to know they will help me. BUT! both times the Urologist said I was not advanced enough to need Flomax. Looking at all the possible side affects I have not taken my recent sample yet.

I’m fine during the day and my slow stream at night is said to be due to the bladder is in a sleep mode when you are in bed sleeping.
Do you agree or have heard that the prostrate sleeps in the bed’s position causing the slow stream at night? -
I plan to reduce my fluid intake before bed as my first step. At age 69 during my exam in approx a month I will expect to see some concrete images of my prostrate advances. Plus, ask what option will be the best for me and why.
Thanks For Your Replies And More!
The side affects are challenging me even though I have gotten instant full nights sleep with full instant flows the next mornings (after the 1st pill and one every other night.
The real challenge is yet to come of seeing what sex will be like. I’ll have to warn my wife that it might be a waste of time or we might have to take a break. I’m enjoying the sleep now LOL!
The affect in my chest, eyes and nasal area have been the most noticeable other than not having my usual urge for sex. Plenty energy for my morning 2 mi walk and cutting grass :30 minutes after the walk. I’ll try to get bold enough to try sex or I’m wasting my experimenting before seeing my Urologist.
Failing and not having the urge is my fear of trying. I feel the Med has affected my urge or normal pattern with no signs or interest. Another med is the last thing I would consider vs trying 3-4 days on Flomax.
Said by who? Nocturia would suggest that your bladder doesn’t care about whether or not you’re sleeping.
…and the the cars passing along the track must sound like this…
My experience of having sex after taking Flomax twice (2 pills) every other day felt close to normal or as in the past. I continue to have a full instant flow in the morning and no need to urinate during the night.
The side affects feelings (stuffy nasal area, chest and eyes discomforts) are still concerns. As to why are the affects and will they go away and will my sex stay normal or as my past. I’ll plan to continue taking a pill every 2-3 days to see if things get better before my Urology Exam. If all goes well, I’ll hope Flomax is an option over Surgery. If a Surgery Procedure is proven to be better with very low risk factors, I’ll study and survey it if and after it is presented.
I’ll even consider going back to Herbs and Supplements if they will give me safer relief at this point.
What has those of you that discontinued FloMax due to side affects found vs surgery for relief? FloMax’s side affects appears to be putting me in La La Land vs enjoying an Active Day. I am use to Activity as Walking 2 mi this morning, changing the oil in my truck (Up/Down) and visiting a friend 2 hrs Wiped Me Out!
BUT! I might try another Hit Tonight. After 43 yrs of marriage you become accustom of Enjoying The Marriage!
Flomax works for me. It has been 6 years.
I ran out of meds for a week once. I noticed!
