Then I went Chevy for a good long time, driving a ‘75 Malibu, then a Cavalier stick (which I bought before learning how to drive a stick), then my first brand new car, which was also a Cavalier stick.
Then a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport, followed by a Grand Cherokee.
Oddly enough yes.
First Car was a Slant-6 Barracuda (Plymouth) with 267,000 miles on it.
Then A Chevy Camaro, A crappy Chevy Citation and then a crapped out Camaro.
My 2nd New Car was a Mercury Tracer followed by a Ford Focus.
So all 3.
Also Hyundai and 2 Toyotas, including currently a Rav4.
Yup–Ford F150, Dodge 1500, Ram 1500, Cadillac Lyriq, VW Golf, Audi Fox, Olds 88. The Ford was the worst. Dodge is still going strong at 210,000 miles with a buddy’s kid. Olds 88 cost $150.
Nope. I’ve only owned three cars in my life: Saturn, Toyota, and Mazda.
The closest I came was test driving a Ford when car shopping, and I sort of looked at but didn’t really seriously consider a Dodge Dart (2012-16 incarnation).
I “inherited” a couple of my parent’s old GMs when I stated driving. I’ve bought Fords, GMs, Porsches, and BMWs. Never had a Japanese or, now, Korean car.
My late wife bought a couple Jeeps while we were married, and that’s as close as I’ve ever come to giving Chrysler a dime.
I nearly bought a Chrysler but went with the Ford. I started the process of buying a Mazda, but the dealer cheated us, and we caught them before the title was issued, and we’re able to back out of that sale, and ended up with another Honda (Odyssey). Which was one of the best cars I’ve ever owned.
Nope, only Mazda, Subaru, Subaru, Subaru. Nobody in my extended family’s ever owned an American car… they were considered to be of low quality and reliability, though that’s honestly probably just low-key racism at work. They’d never buy a Korean or Chinese car either, only Japanese (even though none of them are even Japanese). Shrug.
Personally I’d get a Rivian if I could afford one, but none of the Big 3 make anything that’s even remotely appealing.
Oh, and an Audi S4 and a Subaru. The Audi was fun but high maintenance and the Subie blew a head gasket. Current truck is a Ram 1500 with a 3L inline 6 making 540 HP. 10 year warranty or else I wouldn’t have gone there. It is a monster engine.
Ford Escort and 2 Aerostars
Chevy Silverado 1500 pickup, another Chevy pickup ages ago, 2 Corvettes, HHR, Camaro, Chevette, and a Cadillac, plus a GMC van
Chrysler Crossfire and Plymouth PT Cruiser
I married a car guy. I’m not going to list the rest of the vehicles we’ve owned in our 43 years together…
