“cosmetics containing material from the brains, nerve cells, intestines, placentas and blood of cows or sheep”
I’ve never understood why women feel the need to smear overpriced greasy junk all over their faces, eyelids, lips, etc. But if they must, I guess they must.
My question: what on earth are brains, intestines, etc doing in the stuff?
Another gross one. The drug Premarin is made from the urine of pregnant horses. (PREgnantMAreuRINe) And according to the ASPCA horses are impregnated solely for their urine and the resulting foals are put down if no one buys them at auction. BLECH!
You think that’s cool? How 'bout carmine, the red coloring in cosmetics and just about any red colored food product (check the label on your pink lemonade). Carmine is made from SPIDERS.
Carmine comes from an insect called cochineal, that is not a spider!

There is some irony there as China has whole industries like
Bear Farming where they keep the bears alive with metal tubes in their gall bladders…
