You pop in a DVD and you will almost invariably get the “the comments expressed do not reflect those of the studio” type message.
My question is, was there ever a suit brought based on DVD (or laserdisc) comments? I’m not evcen asking for a SUCCESSFUL suit, I’ll take suits settled out of court-- heck even suits immediately dismissed.

I think the disclaimer is more to prevent boycotts or similar actions from being directed at the production and/or distribution companies, rather than lawsuits, but I wonder if even those have happened. My WAG is it just one incident.
