I only started watching “Oz” the last season it was on, but I really liked the show. I was wondering if anybody on here ever saw the final episode of the show? If so, what happened in it? Thanks
Aw jeez, it’s been a while, let’s see what I can remember. Beecher ended up back inside because he helped Keller out by transporting some sort of illegal prescription drug and Keller IIRC dropped a dime on him to get his parole violated. They got into a fight and Beecher sent Keller over the tier, killing him. Somebody (I can’t remember who) sent some sort of poisoned letter into the prison. The Aryans all worked in the mailroom so they all got killed immediately. The prison was evacuated and everyone got transferred to a new prison. I’m sure there was other stuff but that’s all I recall.
Basically, everyone who matters dies throughout season 6. Cyril O’Reilly finally dies in the electric chair, Gloria comforts Ryan during by making out with him in the meditation maze. The crazy jewish guy who wants to die gets released on a technicality, and goes into Emerald City. During the production of Hamlet, Keller is supposed to give Schillinger a real shank with which to kill Beecher, but he betrays him and gives the shank to Beecher instead. Schillinger dies on stage. Keller thinks they will make up, but Beecher still wants nothing to do with him, and in pushing him away accidentally pushes him over the ledge and he dies.
That’s all I can remember, as it’s been awhile.
Of course, the thing to remember is that Oz was no more representative of actual prison life than Huckleberry Hound was of canine law-enforcement.
