Flip-flop, my nine-year-old rescue bunny, was claimed by the Black Rabbit of Inlé yesterday afternoon when a few critical systems in his body went haywire all at once and, when it became obvious he wasn’t going to recover, we had him put to sleep. My wife is heartbroken, all the ladies at the vet office are bummed out and I’m holding it together, for now. I’ll grieve later. Fortunately, we have dogs to keep us distracted.
He was a good guy.
“How can the light that burned so brightly
Suddenly burn so pale?
Bright Eyes.”
Thank you all for your thoughts and kind words. If you make a bun a part of your household, they’ll completely take over the joint. They’re mostly benevolent rulers. Mostly.
movingfinger, as your account doesn’t receive PMs, you are getting a public “thanks” for your thoughts and kind words.
