He says the peacock was a vampire
Iron-deficiency anemia, surely…or does a vampiric peacock drain intrinsic factor?
See, that’s the trouble with trying to make a joke at the SDMB.

But they’re tasty!
But you have to tenderize them well.

Especially if they’re vampires.

According to my friend, peacocks are dumb as bricks. He was working an internship at the zoo, and they let peacocks roam free there. He said the best incident was when a complaint came in from a guy in wheelchair who claimed to have been attacked by peacock. When he described what the bird did all the employees started laughing. It turns out the peacock was trying to mate with the wheelchair.

It was a common fantasy amoung anyone who did landscaping work there to just go to town on one with a shovel because of all the damage they did.

He didn’t say anything about vampire peacocks.
In other news, the body of the euthanized peacock has mysteriously vanished, and all other animals at the shelter have come down with pernicious anemia.

Vampire zombie peacock? :dubious:

Actually… not so much.

(Unless you’re a vampire, maybe.)
