Heading to CostCo tonight...

Be sure to tip the greeter when he says he loves you.

Oh and I need a 12 pack of watermelons and 20 lbs of ground beef.

Costco is much like that, in that you could supply your business there and many do, but you don’t need any special qualifications to get a membership and they also stock a lot of items that are more small-consumer-oriented like computers and TVs, clothing, books and DVDs.

Could you get me a couple bags of those dried mango slices and one of those big jugs of chocolate covered raisins?

We go to BJ’s. I get the paper stuff (towels, toilet), meat, canned stuff, cereal, bath stuff - practically everything really. I don’t like the produce at BJ’s. Sam’s has good produce but I’m not driving to Worcester for that. I like getting the 13-15 pound tube of hamburger. I break it into 1 pound pieces and put it in a gallon-size freezer bag and smoosh it flat. When I need hamburger, I plop the whole bag in hot water for about a minute and it’s thawed and ready to go.

We have this at our house right now.

My favorite Cost-co product is the hummus.

I’ve found that Costco will secure some contracts with local producers, depending on where in the country they are. I live in Maryland, where I can get giant boxes of Berger Cookies, and generic hummus (Sabra, maybe?). When I traveled out to Denver this summer, the main hummus they had available was from some local joint from up in Boulder (I also got a package of bison pastrami that was amazing).

If someone could drive around back, I’m all out of hookers, weed, and blow.

Thanks!

The prime ribs and the wild caught Alaskan silver salmon. Boneless and skinless chicken breasts too but you can get those anywhere.

Ghiradelli brownie mix. This is the good stuff. Best brownies ever!

…but if they still have any four-pount tins of Walker shortbread cookies, I could use, lessee, two more to get me through the holidays.

If they’re out, forget it, nothing for me, thanks.

Not pumpkin muffins, unfortunately.

Can you get me some childhood innocence and youthful idealism? Sam’s Club is always out of those…

ETA: I need a life, too. Can you get me one of those? KTHXBYE

A membership. Mine runs out this month.

These are a pantry staple in our house for emergency “I was supposed to bring cookies to school tomorrow” panic attacks.
