Well, it’s 10:00 pm. All I’m getting on AMC right now is color bars.
All the rest of my cable channels are working juuuuuuuuuust fiiiiiiiiiine. And there’s nothing else on that I want to watch, dammit!

AMC never did get working for me last night. But “Jazz” was on PBS again, so I watched that.
I got through about half the movie before being overcome by its monumental dumbness. Gaaah.
Persephone, I feel sort of responsible since I brought it up in the first place! I taped it, too, and I’d be happy to send you the tape.

I’d like a tape that I can keep, but I don’t have the capability to make a copy. I’d happily flipsome cash to whoever could send me one, and I’ll reimburse for postage, too!
Yeah, it’s a curse. I have these incredible powers but unfortunately I have very little control over them - I was really trying to knock out a shopping channel.
You can keep the tape - we watched it when we got home last night. The movie’s not great art, but it was a lot of fun to watch. The music’s a bit of a disappointment, though - I wish they’d incorporated some of their earlier stuff. But you get to see a lot of Mickey with his shirt off, if that does anything for you. Personally, I’d rather see a young John Lennon with his shirt off, but that’s just me.

As for Head, well, that’s a darn good question.
Oh, I didn’t dislike it, Persephone. I’m interested in what I guess one would call “psychedelic” films: Wild in the Streets, Zabriskie Point, and so on. Of course, they’re all completely without substance, and some of them are just rolled over from the “beach party” genre, with different visuals, but I like watching the f/x. That last scene in Head was ridiculous, but fascinating. And Zappa’s cameo was a total jaw-dropper.
Rilch: I hope you didn’t think I was slamming you or anything! It’s a weird flick. Your “what the hell was that?” was indeed a darn good question. I asked myself that question throught out the whole movie the first time I saw it! I think that’s what you’re supposed to do, though…
