I personally heard an interview on the radio this past week with a creator of a video game called “Heaven’s Way” that he claims their target audience is 6-12 year olds. The intent is to teach them proper Christian values and actions. The primary attack is on homosexuality.
The player is Jesus and he goes around people’s houses and when he sees two men fornicating, “has one man’s head between the other man’s legs”, etc., He presses a button to preach bible verses and then a beam of light comes down and takes them to Heaven.
My problem comes from the fact that this sick **** wants to graphically show kids from 6-12 two men having sex or fornicating on a video game! While the intentions may be well I don’t think the end justifies the means.
If the game is a 3D shooter that takes place outside in broad daylight, then color me impressed.
I think it’s likely a hoax, since there seems to be no mention of it on the web. (Except here, of course.)
Even the most obscure game in the development phases is mentioned somewhere.
Sure it wasn’t on the Phil Hendrie Show?
I got whooshed by that guy a few times, myself.
Pardon?
Sneaking around, poking their noses into other people’s houses, and condeming private actions of others?
This smells like a hoax to me, and in that light, it’s actually rather funny. Pressing a button to preach bible verses? LOL
What Larry said. I’m guessing that this interview was with someone who had either designed his own video game but it’s not on the market, or else he was merely shooting the breeze with the interviewer about a video game he’d like to see, but that it’s not a real game.
I even went over to god hates fags dot com to see if it was one of their hot ideas, but the website is down, “You do not have permission to access this page”. There is a God, after all.
“You only winged him and made him a Unitarian.”
“While the intentions may be well I don’t think the end justifies the means.”
So I take it that you don’t find the idea of using a video game as a way of attacking homosexuals offensive.
It sounds just great for my 7 yr old. He’ll love it… And It will teach him good solid Christian morals, and about oral sex… which I’d rather not explain to him myself.
Ignoring that this is probably a Hoax (never can tell with those darn christian busy bodies).
You have no problem with the actual message just the messenger?
I think teaching values to children should be up to the parents in every situation, and hopefully they would be from the Bible… My problem is the fact that they would traumatize their “target audience” to portray their message!

I can’t wait for the fan modification “Operation: Destroy Fig Trees!”
That was my first thought. That sounds right up his alley.
“All right! Full conversion!”
You heard it on 99x. Specifically, you heard it with Barnes, Leslie, and Jimmy on the Morning X. It was all fake. Periodically, they have a wildly controversial and completely fabricated guest on just to get a rise out of the callers over something that is completely absurd.
About 30-60 minutes prior to the bit, they said what was going on, but knew that since the audience for radio is continually coming and going, a whole batch of people would not know it was a fake. Towards the end of the show, they announced the fakery.
They did the same basic thing a few months ago about a guy that supposedly wanted to enact legislation in Michigan outlawing people with mental disabilities in restaurants.
(emphasis mine)
Why?
No, wait, on reading another thread, I don’t think you’ll be able to give me an answer that I could even hope to understand.
You said here, apparently serious.
“You are playing. We’re a team.”
The moral of the game: if you want to go to Heaven, give head!
