Heisman Finalists Announced

Quixotic

No matter how you spin it, wins at @Indiana, and Illinois and @Temple are better than a loss @Iowa State, especially when a spot in the National Championship is on the line

Amazing how you can dismiss those wins, and completely ignore the OkSt loss to @IowaState. And Temple is not that bad of a football team. Certainly an above average non-AQ team.

PSU lost by 3 points to Nebraska, just days after the scandal broke. It is not unreasonable to assume that they would have won this game.

if they beat Penn St, and the rest of schedule goes as is, they would have been in the B1G Championship, no matter how they get blown out by Wisconsin.

What in the hell are you talking about? I never compared Penn State to Oklahoma State (although, for the record, OSU is far, far better). All I’m saying is that Penn State was not a “very good” team this year. Even “good” is a stretch.

My argument (all along) has been in support of Bama against OkSt

You are dismissing Penn St as if they don’t count. They are wins. and not losses, it does not matter that PSU did not “cover”.

I just can’t believe anyone would not think PSU was a better team before scandal, than after scandal.

That’s a straw man you set up. I agree Penn State was better before the scandal – but I vehemently (and repeatedly!) disagree with you that they were ever a “very good” team.
