(I’d vote for Mathieu, but he seems like too big of an asshole to vote for.)
I would like to see Matthieu win because he is a defensive player.
But I think the Heisman goes to Griffin.

My answer to: “who wins” and “who I want to win” is different.
I voted for Griffin, bit would love to see Mathieu get it.
I voted for Mathieu. I think he can be an idiot at times but I don’t get any indication he’s more of an asshole than any other tough defensive back.
He is a game-changer as a punt returner, corner, and/or safety. Forced fumbles, interceptions, hard tackles. Hell, he just takes what he wants!
Knowing that Mathieu won’t win, I hope Griffin III takes it.
Voted for RGIII even though I am Wisconsin class of '89.
Mathieu has made so many game-turning plays that have kept LSU #1 all season, that he gets my vote.
RGIII is my second choice.
After 18 votes our Heisman appears to be going to Griffin, but maybe if I had phrased the question more precisely and we all had been voting for our personal preference instead of who we thought the actual winner would be, Mathieu would be the winner.
Maybe somebody else could start a more accurate poll?

I voted for RGIII. He was the best player in college football. Baylor may have been a 3 or 4 win team without him.

For what it’s worth, my preference is RGIII, and I would have thought he’d be a runaway winner with the actual voters. But if this poll below is any indication of the general populace and actual Heisman voters (I haven’t checked any other polls outside the SDMB), then I’m just shocked.
