Hello Universe? Can we get some better Trump defenders on this board?

Well… [looks at the 2018 midterms]

Settling themselves for failure? (that is for the getting busy stuffing envelopes remark, because that did not quite work before indeed).

Over here in this red state our efforts did elect a democrat to the senate, and the remaining republican one is not looking good, thanks in no small part for supporting Trump.

Why did you omit gerrymandering, voter suppression, the fact that the electoral college was designed to give slave owners the advantage, Russian interference, and sheer Republican evil? Yeah, I said evil, and I mean it. When your party is led by a guy who “jokes” about being president for life or how he “deserves” a third term because people accurately criticized him, you are talking about overthrowing democracy and installing a dictator. Trump has around him men who think it’s a joke to say Hillary Clinton or Obama should be executed.

Trump conducted DOZENS of meetings with Russian operatives, then lied about it. Russia is not our friend. Trump has repeatedly expressed admiration and affection for Vladimir Putin, to the point where he disparages the United States in order to defend Putin, a man who has the blood of dozens of journalists on his hands, to say nothing of those who have died because of his inadequacies as a leader. Trump himself endlessly attacks the press, except for TACC, who have been invited to Oval Office events from which American press------who Trump calls “the enemy of the people”----are banned.

Of course, Putin is not the only dictator Trump gives tongue baths to. He adores the Saudis, says he and Kim Jong Un “fell in love” because Kim Jong Un “makes his people sit up and pay attention”, and has also spoken approvingly of Rodrigo Duterte, president of the Phillipines, who has bragged about murdering people himself, in addition to calling for the death of drug addicts.

Trump is dishonest, cowardly, a bully, a pathological liar who is so thin-skinned he once called people who didn’t applaud him “traitors.” He has called for violence and assassination of rivals, brags about sexually assaulting women and girls, and has attacked and slandered any- and everyone who has the temerity to point out what a scumbag he is.

He has banned Muslims, attacked Mexicans as rapists, attacked POWs, attacked Gold Star parents and a new widow, continues to attack John McCain even after McCain’s death, and now has added extortion to his routine.

That’s just scraping the surface. He is evil, and anybody who defends him, three years later, is either impossibly stupid or just as vile as Trump himself. This is the guy whose charity was dissolved by the state of New York because Trump treated it like a piggy bank for himself, and never donated any money to anybody. He and his misbegotten spawn are forbidden from having anything to do with any charity for life.

He’s weak, thin-skinned, stupid, utterly incurious, insecure, hateful, incapable of taking criticism, and will do anything to get revenge for imagined slights. His flaws and malice and spite are all he has for character. Weak people think he’s strong; poor people think he’s the epitome of wealth, and morons think he’s intelligent. He’s had every advantage in life, incredible wealth, and he and his yapping fans will be remembered as the sort of people who really think they can argue the Civil War was not about slavery and that the Nazis were really socialists. Oh, and that if you pretend the last sixty years didn’t happen, you can still claim the GOP is the party of Lincoln.

But it’s actually worse than that. His followers----except perhaps, for the Qanon freaks, people so stupid they believe Trump’s lies----don’t believe any of this shit. It’s all about power and their belief that they and somehow Trump himself are the real victims of society because facts and logic and science and compassion are arrayed against them. When you point out, say, that Trump crudely, spitefully, mocked a disabled reporter on video, and that he then lied about it, you are oppressing them because you should just …not point out stuff like that. It’s really mean. And it’s unfair. And, really, Trump’s constant lies should be true and that’s why he’s not really lying. Because if they want the lies to be true, they’re not really lies.

Republicans are throwing hundreds of thousands of Dem voters off voter rolls, have gerrymandered districts till they look like Ebola viruses, and have passed ridiculous voter ID laws that somehow only affect minority districts. That’s what Republicans call “winning.”

See, this… THIS is the type of post I support. Wonderful stuff. I really wish the board had more of this.

And with that, as Eugene V. Debs is my witness, I haven’t the slightest idea what you are on about.

People have died because of Trump’s inadequacies as a leader. Sounds like two peas in a pod to me.

It occurs to one that a bag weighing five pounds would quite easily accommodate ten pounds of shit, and then some.

Maybe he’s talking British money, and it’s some strange compliment, i.e. we give him more than he bargained for.

You mean like a bag that COSTS five pounds? Yeah, maybe a Coach knock-off from Ross Dress for Less*; I could see that…

*or a Harrod’s factory outlet store, in case they don’t have Ross in Old Blighty.

(ellipses mine, because I don’t really give a shit)

(a)He beat us in 2016. If his side is just a bunch of dumb, evil, gerrymandering yokels who like to dream about power in between giving out free tongue baths, then well done us, I guess?

(b)You’ve figured out that Trump isn’t the best choice for the country. Congratulations, that’s step one. Step two is turning off the computer and doing something about it.

Or hey, maybe this is working for you, margin. When I think of ways to elections and get the country back on track, impotent rage is not the first thing that pops into my head, but I’ve been wrong before.

In other words, stupid and stupid’s annoying little cousin, ineffectual, are better than evil, but that doesn’t make them good. I mean, when I have a problem, I try to stay away from stupid ineffectual people, but maybe it’s all part of the plan, I dunno. I do know that the democratic party seems to welcome stupid and ineffectual. They’re wearing stupid and ineffectual this year like it’s Prada. Meh, but what do I know, right?

63 Million saw fit to vote for the orange sphincter. 80,000 votes was all it took to give him the electoral college win in 3 battleground states. It was a narrow victory. Largely due to apathy and bitterness that HRC was the nominee and not BS.

Turning off the computer is not actually doing something about anything. The biggest influencers by far are social media outlets. Arguably, this board is preaching to the choir a lot of the time. But if it comes up in searches and people read some of the threads, it may serve as way of influencing those who are seeking to be convinced or have their minds changed. I don’t expect that will happen in significant numbers. But there is benefit in educating and sharpening fact based rhetoric among those who are already on board in helping them get the message out.

Sometimes venting is a release valve. Sometimes people just need to get things off your chest. Sometimes it’s okay to just shout into the void.

We’re all very impressed with your sanctimonious lecturing. Why don’t you enlighten everyone about what brilliant fucking plans you’ve come up with in order to revolutionize, mobilize and reform the Democratic party from losers to winners. Bonus points if it involves turning off your computer.

So you are not familiar with what the President said, only what you were told he said.

Try to read past the bit we all know already.

– and I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists, because they should be condemned totally –

“Trump and Putin, kissin’ in a tree!
K-I-S-S-N-G!”

Flynn was negotiating with Erdogan to kidnap Fethullah Gulan, an elderly cleric who fled to the States, and give him to Erdogan. This meant certain torture, a show trial, and likely death.

This is evil.

Trump has now pardoned three war criminals now----Matthew Golsteyn, Clint Lorrance, and Eddie Gallagher, plus ranted about the Geneva Conventions and how they’re “not fair.” Each of them killed unarmed captives or civilians, with further disgusting behavior that alarmed or enraged their troops because of its dishonorable character. (I dare anyone to read the emotional comments of Gallagher’s men and not be touched, because they seem to be a decent and commendable group of sailors.)

In Gallagher’s case, Trump also stripped medals commendations, and awards from the officers who put together his case and pursued justice for the people Gallagher murdered.

In EVERY case, Trump has awarded the dishonest, the dishonorable, the bully, the coward, and punished----in many cases, outright lying and blatantly inventing stuff ----about the honorable, honest, professional, hard working, patriotic, and loyal Americans (and others) who have sought to do the right thing. The President of the United States uses his twitter account to urge his crazed, hateful, violent followers to murder people he falsely accuses. He commands a military and has packed the courts with ideologues and crazed partisan bigots. His Attorney General acts like his whole purpose in life is to do Trump’s bidding. His party sometimes mildly expresses criticism, then shits up and rubberstamps everything he wants. The courage of the people who stand up to him and his goons is stunning.

And anybody who argues with the latter, fuck right off, because your standard is that unless Trump says, “Hey, can you guys kill and/or slander this guy?” it’s not true. Trump is too much of a wuss to get his hands dirty----for now. But he’s been surrounding himself with scumbags for decades. To this group of resoundingly crooked and slimey group of goons he’s lately taken to adding people who scream for the execution of people who have accurately summed him up----Hillary, Obama, Vindeman, anybody honest, basically. “Will no one rid me of this meddlesome priest?” works for mob bosses as well as kings.

That, plus Trump’s hate campaign against our allies, against NATO, against Russian sanctions, against anything but slavish devotion to Putin, against actual facts, against reality—create a pattern of behavior. He is not working for the interests of the US. Who benefits? Cui bono?

Look at how the Trumpie flinches away from every fact I cited, like a vegan from steak, and once again tries to bury that Trump did not win, that he sucks up to Putin daily, that Repubs are hateful crooks who can’t win a fair fight, and whines that Dems are such meanies for pointing out the truth about them and their orange God.

You are linking to a Wednesday article where he is trying to clean up his statement made the previous Saturday.
Are you fucking trolling or did you fail to read what you linked?

For just fucking once I’d like to understand why these attempts to defend or “correct” the alleged misunderstanding of what Trump said are so fucking lame and intentionally goddamn idiotic. Do you really believe that people won’t read and check content and dates? Are you deliberately gaslighting or are you just too fucking stupid to know you’re wrong?

Answer me. I’d love to hear your explanation.

For the 934th time…
Who made the concession phone call on Election Night, Trump or Hillary?
Who delivered the inauguration speech on the steps of the Capitol, Trump or Hillary?
Who is the current occupant of the Oval Office, Trump or Hillary?
Who captured the Electoral College majority?
Who gets to decide who gets drone-striked, who is signing the executive orders, who is nominating the federal judges?

You can say the Electoral College isn’t fair, you can say the popular vote is how the election *ought *to be done, you can say it is long overdue to abolish the Electoral College, and those are all reasonable and rational viewpoints. But to say “Trump didn’t win” is utterly meaningless in every practical sense of the word. Unless Hillary Clinton is Commander-in-Chief right now and we’ve all been living in an alternate reality for three years, Trump won.

While he got 4M less votes than HRC, he won the electoral college in 3 battleground states, giving him the election win. Unless you are prepared the go the Trump route and allege that the 80K votes are not legitimate, it’s well past time to accept the 2016 election results.

Sure, but it gives tighty rightys the opportunity to pose as hard-nosed realists. They totally love that shit.

Curse you!

The bag is labelled 5 pounds, so requires 5 pounds of shit. So 10 pounds makes it very tight, a doubling of the fecal density if you will.

Fecal density.

Shoulda said that in the first place. SO MUCH AMBIGUITY!

It’s like saying “I have an empty bottle of Grey Goose vodka.” If it’s empty, it’s a bottle of either nothing (if it’s exposed to the vacuum of outer space) or air. If it’s a bottle of Grey Goose vodka, it has Grey Goose vodka inside.

It’s enough shit to require 10, 15 flushes. That’s a lot.
