You’re not nuts, my wife and I were laughing about it. I alluded to it above but not very descriptively.

I liked Ramsey’s speech to Scott and Autumn, telling them “you aren’t as good as you think you are”…
It didn’t look like Salvatore was throwing Scott under the bus to me, it looked like he was genuinely upset that he had to nominate his friend, but he had no choice. If he’d nominated someone else, Ramsey would just get pissed about the wrong guy being nominated.
I liked how whatsisname was all “oh hell naw” when he heard about the skydiving. Reminded me of Mr T being all “you ain’t gettin me on no plane” back in the old A-Team show.
That’s the way I saw it. Salvatore knew that Scott was being very nice and helpful to him, and yet his performance on the meat station was terrible. If he didn’t nominate Scott, Ramsay would think he was either copping out or being an idiot.
Okay, I think we’re far enough into the season to start making predictions.
I think the entire Red team is doomed. Okay, occasionally Fran and Nilka sometimes do a decent job one service (but then screw up the next), and I think on the whole Holli has been screamed at less than the others, but I think they only ‘shone’ while being surrounded by the even worse teammates around them.
Autumn was under the radar these last two hours – she had a know-it-all attitude while on the Red team, but seems quieter (more submissive? more eager to ingratiate herself?) now she’s on Blue. Which shows she has at least the ability to control her behavior, so that’s a point in her favor.
I think Salvatore and Jason have survived this long solely because Red Team presents an oversurmountable challenge in the competition for Being the Worst.
Benjamin has been competent and sometimes shown leadership. Let’s hope Red Team doesn’t taint him.
Jay – I dunno. He wants to be the leader, wanting and being able to do it are different things. We’ll see.
Which brings me to Ed. Has that guy even had any screen time? I can’t remember him being the donkey in any particular incident. And in the first episode there was one time he stepped in and helped someone/the team out, something with fish I think it was. Anyway, he’s a dark horse to me. Is he simply competent, but not outstanding? Or will he be the winner, and they’re keeping him under wraps?
I’m not sure, but I think the finale has always come down to one man vs. one woman. If that’s a pattern they want to stick to, right now I’d bet on Autumn vs. Ed.
If they’re willing to go man vs. man, I’ll go with Ed vs. Benjamin.
That’s my theory too. I can’t find anyone else in this season who doesn’t conspicuously suck.
Although I must admit Nilka endeared herself to me last night with the line, “F**k all y’all, and I mean that from the bottom of my ass!”
Corkboard, I see you pointed out the music first. I don’t know how I missed it before. So I guess we are either all nuts or none of us nuts. I gotta say, I was actually surprised to see him get sent home. I thought he was arrogant, true, but I wouldn’t have guessed him as the worst cook on the red team.
I see Scott’s still looking like a weasel - “Oh, I need time to integrate myself into the new team and see how it’s doing… so I’ll act like I’m the kitchen supervisor rather than actually working.”
That scene with Autumn in her bikini made me want to go take a shower. And not in a “wow” sort of way, I mean in an “ew, I need to scrub myself” sort of way. Yes, she’s lovely, and she’s showing off, and the men are… enjoying the spectacle way too much.
So now that Scott is gone, and the Red Team is going down in flames, who is the next to say buh bye?
My vote, barring a complete meltdown of the Blue Team is Siobahn…

I thought when Jason told her “get me a spoon, babygirl” she was going to get all “Excuse me?!?!” in his face. She probably should have. Now they know they can order her around.
I noticed they had to blur out a nipple that must have been poking above the top of her bikini, and then the top of her asscrack. How can you not be more aware of your body parts, especially knowing you’re being filmed for prime time? Or maybe it was intentional.
Oh, speaking of Siobhan – when she rattled off that list of things she was allergic to, didn’t it include a bunch of foodstuffs? Isn’t that a major handicap for a cook?
A real cook? Definitely. A “cook” who mainly wants to see herself on TV? Not so much.
Am I the only one who feels the life force draining from his soul whenever they show a close-up of Fran’s face?
That made me smile on a crappy morning. Though I was thinking she looks a little better than on the first ep. But still…
She reminds me of someone I knew from the Ren Faire. This person proclaimed themselves to be allergic to a multitude of foods, with an odd preponderance of things in Thai food such as peanuts and lime. Lemons were not a problem for him, but limes would apparently cover him in hives.
And, he was about as pale and pasty as Siobhan. Irritating as all hell, as well.
Forgot to mention- it’s always nice when we can get a little glimpse into the real world lives of the contestants, such as the brunette whatzername who has the largest porn collection of anyone she knows, and how Siobhan is into S&M.

Wow, the red team really sucks. It’s not even close. It will be interesting to see if the new guy (Ben is it?) makes a difference (my guess, no) or if they drag him down with them. He’s been doing pretty well on the blue team, lots of “that’s cooked perfectly” from Ramsey, but that red team, they just do NOT play well with others. If he’s smart he’ll just keep to his station, try not to fuck up, and hope when they do crash and burn he’s the “best of the worst” cook that Ramsey asks for nominees.
Nilka and Holli are likely to stick around for a while though. Nilka because she’s loud and obnoxious and that makes for good TV and Holli because I don’t think she’s done too badly. Might make it late into the competition be merely being an acceptable cook. At least I hope they keep Holli around, her eyes are so beautiful that I almost don’t know what the rest of her face looks like. Like, damn it her eyes are so hypnotizing.
