It used to be that when I opened a thread and then left it, the thread’s title lettering changed from blue to gray, which was very nice. It stayed this way ever after.
Recently, this is true only as long as I’m still in the same session here. If I leave the board for even a few minutes and come back, all the thread titles are back in blue again. This makes it time consuming for me to locate those threads I’m interested in. I’m usually not logging out between sessions.
I’ve been through the FAQ’s and the stuff at User CP and haven’t found the answer as to how to make the threads stay marked in gray. Is there something really simple that I’m missing, or are the gremlins that infect cyber space playing nasty games in my 'puter?
Do you mean that the thread titles are marked in dark blue again, or the fainter blue? The latter happens when there’s been new replies in a thread you’ve previously seen.
On the other hand – I think I have that last bit confused. But the colours have been changing 'twixt dark blue-faint blue-grey since the new board format. Not necessarily linked to the browser used, I’d have thought.
The browser is IE that came with Windows XP. It used to work properly, up until a few weeks ago.
The thread titles revert to the same color they were before, so that I cannot distinguish between visited threads and non-visited threads. They stay marked while I’m in the same session, but once I leave the SDMB and then return, they are unmarked.
