I never saw this one all the way through…and I don’t know the name of it.
Anyway, the story begins in Haiti (1950s)-a famous NYC bandleader visits a Haitian “voodoo” ceremony, and hears a distinctive bit of music.
He mentions how much he likes it to his guide…who (solemnly) tells him “it is sacred music-don’t copy it”.
The bandleader returns to NYC, and composes some music using the voodoo melody-and immediately falls ill.
he consults a local witchdoctor, who tells him he is under a curse-so he returns to9 Haiti (to get the curse lifted). It turns out that it can’t and he dies a horrible death.
What was the name of it? And why was the voodoo priest so pissed off?
