Nah, don’t think so. I checked deadfly ensemble’s music out on myspace. Not the same style.
I also think the lyrics in the song that I heard had an “Oh Baby” Or “Hey Girl” in the Chorus.
They’ll be watching us like flies with millions of eyes"… maybe?
See, the guitar in the song kinda sounded like it was played by Jimmy Page’s and Angus Young’s three headed butt baby… It was the shit, sounded like it was sung by a Sting or Stipe type.
Damn the internets and you nasty jammers. I just heard the fucker again on CBC 3, and it didn’t stream the track name and they don’t have a legacy list- just playlists to sift through… you cockswollops. The chorus is “Hey Little Sister!”-- That should be the name of the song, but I can’t find it… It ends. “I’ll be there when you call my name.”
I’m guessing Little Sister by Queens of the Stone Age isn’t it, but when you said heavy rock song with “little sister” in the lyrics it’s what I thought of and I thought I might throw it out there.
Although I’m no expert on music or computing, I have a simple suggestion. Go to Google and type in the lyrics that you remember; surrounding them with parentheses. Then type lyric after this and hit enter. I’ve found a number of songs that I liked that weren’t announced by the dj. Hope this helps.
It’s probably too new to be on the lyrics sites yet. My suggestion is to put the CBC3 website up next time the song comes on, because they display the title and artist of the current-playing song there.
There’s an app you can download to many web enabled cell phones that will sample a song and tell you what the band is in seconds by comparing the sound sample to a net library of songs. My daughter demonstrated it to me and it was very accurate sampling radio songs.
