Help for Jack Kirby tribute

Silver Tyger Girl:

You’re sharing your finished art with us, right?

Yes, yes I am. You can see it here: http://silvercat17.livejournal.com/23836.html

I’m pretty happy with it, although I should have drawn the guy bigger.

Hey, cool! Nice work!

A very thoughtful tribute (although honoring the date-of-death seems a bit odd? Isn’t it more customary to honor the day the artist entered the world?). Drawing seems like an entirely appropriate gesture.

Tragically, Kirby himself died while trying to prove that his characters’ ultra-dynamic poses were physically possible. Horrified onlookers later agreed that he won the bet, although several of his muscle groups were never found.

Kirby’s reported last words: “My god… It’s full of dots!”

Hehehe…

I’ve got a ton of people’s birthdays and death days on my calendar. I just looked and noticed it and thought, hey! I should do something. I’m probably not going to get around to doing stuff for the other birthdays. (Bruce Timm’s birthday is Friday! I should do something! Argh! Homework! Warren Ellis’ birthday is the 16th, I should do something! Argh! Homework! Bruce Wayne’s birthday is the 19th! … you get the picture) I have a project due the 14th… which is what I should be working on instead of surfing here.

Very nice work, kudos!

I also plan on honoring his memory, by eating the planet.

He could have been bigger, but then he’d have blocked the machine more.

But you definitely hit the essentials of a Kirby image.
