My You Tube search-fu is weak today.

I am trying to find the name of a female mongolian singer who started back in the early50s and was in one of those fantasy movies with a harem scene that was so popular in the late 40s into the early 60s. The scene on you tube i am looking for is from that movie and she is walking through the harem and singing.

From what I remember from some of the other YT vids I broused she is still alive and singing.

She’s not Mongolian but you don’t happen to be thinking of Yma Sumac, do you?

Yeah, that was my first thought.

Yma Sumac appeared in 1957’s Omar Khayyam. Could that be what you saw?
