So in less than a month I will be hopping into my truck and driving form Alberta to Southern Ontario for my summer job.

Now along for the ride is my little dog and I am starting to wonder how this is going to go.

Does anyone know any motels along the Trans Canada that allow dogs and don’t cost an arm and a leg? I was thinking of bringing along a tent and staying at campgrounds along the way but it is the beginning of May and I don’t know what will be open.

Also any suggestions for a long trip with dogs would be wonderful, she was fine with a full day’s travel, but four full days is a bit much.

I don’t have any answers for you, but why not try calling the humane centres in the bigger cities en route, like Regina, Winnipeg, Thunder Bay, etc. They may be able to help you out with lists of dog-friendly motels.
