I’m sorry to hear that. Yeasterday I had “Lump” by the Presidents Of The United States stuck in my head for a while. It was all “Lump sat alone in a boggy marsh/Totally motionless except for her heart/Mud flowed up into lumps pyjammas/She totally confused all the passing piranhas…green acres is the place to be…” Wait, what? “Farm livin’ is the life for me/Land spreadin’ out so far and wide… Lump lingered last in line for brains…”

The obvious solution for that is Weird Al’s “Gump.”

Whenever I’ve tried listening to a parody to get rid of an earworm, they’ve always mixed and merged into an even more annoying monstrosity in my brain.
This is the song that doesn’t end,
Yes it goes on and on, my friend.
Some people started singing it not knowing what it was,
And they’ll continue singing it forever just because
This is the song that doesn’t end,
Yes it goes on and on my friend.
Some people started singing it not knowing what it was,
And they’ll continue singing it forever just because
This is the song that doesn’t end…
I just stopped in to tell you, I have never heard the song you speak of…but seeing the thread title when you first posted lodged another song called “Jackie Blue” from the 70’s in my head where it’s been for THREE DAYS.
It’s a world of laughter
A world of tears
It’s a world of hopes
And a world of fears
There’s so much that we share
That it’s time we’re aware
It’s a small world after all…
