I was in a bookstore earlier today. They had a set of books that were a comic strip I was unfamiliar with. I saw that the strips were originally published as a webcomic so I figured I would check them out online.
I figured I would be able to remember the name of the comic strip and artist when I got home. That assumption turns out to have been incorrect.
The webcomic name was the first name of its main character. I think her name started with a D but I’m not sure.
The main character was a woman with very curly hair.
The strips were black and white. The covers of the books were paintings of the main character.
They were mostly one-panel strips but there were a few multi-panel.
The artist was a man. I believe his first name was Christopher but he only used the first initial C. in his credit. He also used his last name, which I remember started with a B. (It would obviously be helpful if I could remember his last name rather than his first name.)
It appeared to be mostly a slice-of-life series. The main character didn’t have superpowers or solve crimes or fight vampires.
There must have been a pretty good number of strips in the series because there were ten volumes in the collection. But only nine books; volumes three and four were combined into a single book.
