Group of young people are in the woods for some reason I can’t remember. They find a rock face with drawings on it that are thousands of years old. Maybe one of them is an archeology student and this is why they’re there. Eventually they meet up with or get attacked by a man and woman seemingly from the time period of the drawing. The survivors seek shelter in a cave, and I think the cave actually turns them into more of those prehistoric people? Maybe?
Anyone remember this? I’m going to guess it was from the late 2000s / early 2010s and has at least one “name” actor. For context, that “name” might only be as famous as Laura Ramsey or Amanda Crew. Though now I’m thinking there might have also been a Hemsworth in it.
I just remembered fragments of it while rewatching a double feature of Turistas and The Ruins, and thought it would be a fun followup.
EDIT: I thought the title was something like prehistoric or primeval, but I’m not finding anything on IMDb.
