I killed this bug earlier tonight. Just wondering what kind of bug it is and if I should start tearing my floorboards out to try and find a nest or something.
Looks like the Brown Marmorated Stink Bug, recently introduced from China.
I’d just like to say that “marmorated” is a pretty cool word, and I intend to use it in all appropriate contexts from now on.
They were particularly invasive this year in our area. I found them everywhere for most of August.
