I watched a movie several years ago and I’d like to watch it again. What I remember.
The main character is a man and loops through each iteration from birth to death.
In earlier loops he wasn’t aware he was looping, only experiencing frequent episodes of déjà vu.
Early in the movie is arrested by the FBI for kidnapping and torture of another man.
The man he kidnapped was a serial rapist/murderer in previous loops and the main character (mc) was attempting to break the behavior through aversion therapy. Displaying graphic sexual material and then applying torture at any sign of arousal.
The female agent wakes at 3:37 in every morning. The reason is because in an earlier loop her mother had been murdered or committed suicide by shotgun. The shotgun blast wakes her.
MC aborted that action by breaking in and unloading the weapon.
MC maintains a notebook documenting all events as remembered and the agents are frequently addressed directly by entries that cannot be predicted.
The investigation was the primary vehicle, though there were occasional excursions to provide context.
Multiple flashbacks back to a childhood event demonstrating the progression from déjà vu to precognition.
And another where he unloads the shotgun.
If we identify it, I’ll add it to the timeloop collection to avoid this in the future.
Thanks in advance.
ETA: It’s not in the IMDB movie list.
