I have already tried to google this with no luck, so I’m hoping someone here can help me. Today I was reminded of a toy that was around when I was growing up in the early-mid 80s where you would wrap yarn around some specially designed piece in a certain way (I seem to remember it sort of looking like a mushroom with spikes). When you were done I think you would turn the “stem,” making the spikes dissappear, and when you would be left with a round knit piece that you could connect to other pieces and make a small afghan blanket or something. Does this ring a bell to anyone?
