I’m hosting a four-night series at my library this week in anticipation of the Big Awards Show next weekend. I’m trying to showcase previous performances by this year’s nominees. Unfortunately, this means that I’ve had to grab some films I’ve never seen before, which means in some cases that I’ll need to be looking for scenes starring actors I’ve never seen in movies I’ve never seen.
So I’m hoping I can get some help from the Teeming Millions to locate good showcase scenes. Below are the films and actors. The more info you can give me the better.
Oh, and please keep in mind that I’ll be doing this in a public library, so if possible please avoid recommending scenes involving nudity and/or extremely graphic language. Thanks.

Sorry, I missed the edit window, and I wanted to clarify this a bit. By “the more info … the better” I mean the more info you can give me on locating the scene in the movie. If you have a DVD chapter, that’s great, but even better would be an approximate time, since some of the movies I have are on VHS. Barring that, something like “it’s near the end, there are three or four people in the car and so-and-so is talking about this dream he had” or “it’s the scene just before all the beach balls fall down from the sky” … anything that will help me find the scene as I fast-forward through the movie.

I’ve actually eliminated Ruby Dee from the above list, having found the only scene she’s in in the movie I have for her. I also elminated Amy Ryan, but since I somehow managed to miss her name in compiling the original list, that shouldn’t affect what I still hope y’all can help with.

This is the only film on your list I saw. Basically the film centers on a group of soon to be 30 year old friends coming to terms with relationships and growing up.
Affleck’s character is already involved in an unhappy marriage at the start of the movie. There are a number of interactions between him and his wife or him and Zack Braff’s character that you might use.
She plays the pregnant wife of the son (Billy Crudup), and sparks the father into telling the “real” story of how he met his wife. So, a good scene could be her sitting with the father to hear that story.
Another possibility would be a scene between her and Billy Crudup when he is cleaning out his father’s shed/office.
