It isn’t often that I remember a dream…but this one was just SO strange! Here goes: I was in a truck with my brother, and we stopped because a policeman pulled us over (he was stopping another car). We left, and came to a church. We decided to stay for the mass, and the communion service was weird-you approached the altar and you were given a wax taper to light a candle with. I reached for my wallet to make a donation, but couldn’t find it-what spilled out of my pockets were a big pile of colored gemstones. The service ended, and i walked out a doorway, into a field.
That’s what I remember-what on earth was this all about?
It means you’re gonna die within the next 48 hours.
That is so disconnected it sounds like 2 dreams remembered together. The only thing that makes immediate sense to me is the part where you were looking for a mere wallet and instead you got a pile of jewels. That sounds pretty cool. Perhaps you have more than you thought you had in some way. Some hidden value, gift, or talent, perhaps? More to offer than you were aware of?
Walking out of a church into a field sounds to me like either finding contentment (did you like the field?) or dying.
The candles thing: You were given a lighted candle to light another candle with? Hmmm. You were given something (a skill? a talent?) freely and asked only to use it to “spread the light” in a sense. Then you tried to donate (wallet) and found you had more than you thought you did (jewels). What did you do then? Did you donate any of the jewels, or did you put them back in your pocket and keep them for yourself?
I have no idea what church and mass mean to you. To some people that would be a joy or a comfort. To others an obligation or a restriction. I’m assuming you’re of a religion such as Roman Catholocism or were at some point.
The bit about being stopped by police because they were stopping another car is what seems disconnected. Any special significance to your brother or to trucks? I don’t know your age or what your relationship with your brother is like. Or how you feel about police. However, you were detained, albeit briefly for no reason that had anything to do with anything you and your brother had done. How did you feel about that? Angry? Accepting?
Just a few things to think about. I could be 100% off base since I really know nothing about you or your circumstances. (But if you have this dream again within a week it definitely means you’re going to go insane, rob a jeweler, kill a bunch of cops, shoot up a churchful of people, run over your brother with a truck and then drive off a cliff into the Grand Canyon.)
Thanks for the interpretation-it comes at a time when I’m a bit depressed (job issues). The church scene was strange-I’m a Catholic, but the service was like nothing I’ve ever attended. Everyone in the Church was dressed up-I was the one in shabby clothes. The jewels spilled out of my pocket-I just left them there. Ordinarily, I don’t remember dreams…but this one was so vivid!
Well, you’ve just provided another clue. You were dressed (presenting yourself?) differently than the rest. You felt less worthy. Yet you had a pocket full of jewels.
But you neither specifically donated them nor took them with you; you left them behind on the floor. Apparently nobody else took them either?
My opinion is that dreams, especially memorable or repeated ones, are a message that you are trying to give yourself. Perhaps you are trying to realize that you have a lot to offer the world that you’re not making use of and that those around you don’t see or appreciate.
Given the info about the job issues, it could well be job-related. But when you walk out of the church (job) you are in an empty field (uncertain prospects?).
How did you feel when you woke up? Angry? Afraid? Calm? Peaceful?
I felt OK, the dream was so vivid-I saw everything in vivid color. The service ended, and I walked down a ramp-a well-dressed man lifted a velvet rope to let me pass-hen I was in a green field, alone.
It may be that you remembered the dream because it was in color. Most people dream in gray scale, but have an ocassional color dream, finding them easier to recall.
Dream interpretation is, IMO, just hocus pocus, Now if you really want to know something, I’ll red your Tarot cards
That would be “read” your Tarot cards. :smack:
