Help me disconnect my stupid oven clock.

I have an electric oven with a clock that is now making a loud humming noise. I never use the thing. Some minor investigative work shows that a couple of wires are apparently connecting the clock to a power supply. Any problem with just cutting the wires? I’m worried about having a cut wire that’s still attached to a power supply.

Thanks.

Find the breaker or fuse for the electrical circuit that powers the clock. Throw it, or remove the fuse, cut the wires and tape up the loose ends with electrical tape so they cant short out on each other or anything else and replace fuse or click breaker.

Done!
