Tell your wife if she wants to lose weight, have a varied diet, not starve herself, and keep the weight off, to try Weight Watchers. I lost 15 pounds in 12 weeks last year and haven’t gained any of it back and without feeling like I was depriving myself, or spending three days a week on the crapper.
I love a good cabbage soup, and in the winter on weekends I will occasionally use my daily allottment of foods [diabetic=)] to make a pot of soup that lasts me for the day. I cook it on the woodstove and it is sort of comfort foodish=)
And I drink about 1 gal a day, and it saved my kidneys from the hypercalcemia I have been suffering for the past year. Just had my parathyroids out, and I can’t wait to see what will happen in the next year [although between the furosemide and all the peeing, and the nausea vomiting and runs I have lost 47 lbs since april…not a good way to do it!
