I have - at our local halal butcher. And I think you can special-order them from some grocery stores, but they aren’t common in my area at least and they cost more than beef does.
Well, I’ve just learned two things, TruCelt. I didn’t know that most mammalian-meat allergies were linked, and I’d never before heard of an allergy having its onset in a bug bite.
I was thinking linguine in a garlic/olive oil sauce with sliced smoked sausage (like kielbasa).
Just gotta check on the kielbasa. Kielbasa is often a mix of beef & pork. Sometimes it’s all pork. Sometimes even poultry is included (Hillshire Farms, for instance, is beef, pork, and turkey–don’t know if turkey is okay if chicken isn’t.)
Apparently, it looks like you can order them to Costco Business Centers at $3.79/lb. That said, in true Costco fashion, they come 10 shoulders to the box at 50 pounds.
