I am actually from Radford, from 83-86 my brothers and I had apts in Blacksburgh - go Hokies ! I would actually prefer living in an apt with students, any noise at night would not bother me and I am planning on getting an electric guitar. Maybe I could even make friends with some, I get along well with the young folk.
Fair enough. But I think you meant Go Wahoos!
So what was the final verdict on that gap behind the bathroom entrance in the third picture?
Just a tiny little space where the walls didn’t join together, I didn’t look, maybe a light switch was there
Here is an interesting listing. $950 a month with $950 deposit plus a cat deposit of $500 for an 18 month lease.
But check out the photos. There is a picture of a red door and a white door, one looking down on the top of the toilet, a picture of the carpet, a picture of a window, a picture of the side of the shower, a picture of the bathroom mirror. No square footage listed but I can guess from the pic of the whole house, which I like, reminds me of the house we used to have in RI.
I know exactly where the house is, out in the country but only about a mile from town. I could blast the new electric guitar I will buy once I have a place as loud as I wanted to.
It’s a couple hundred more per month than I wanted to spend, but I have some money in the bank, I could do it for a year.
So I will schedule an appointment, but my suspicion is that when I walk in I will see it has a horrible layout with a tiny living room, and I can already see the horrid carpeting. I would have to spend several hundred dollars in rugs to cover it up. I will check it out for no other reason than comparison shopping.
It appears to be 800 square feet and Zillow thinks that the rent is too high as they estimate it in the $650 range.
$650-750 was about what I was thinking. I assume it is negotiable. They must be looking for an idiot. On the site it says you can apply online with a $50 dollar application fee. WIthout even seeing the place?
If I go out and see it and think I can decorate it to meet my minimum standards, no way in hell am I ever going to pay $500 to be able to have my small and gentle cat live with me. I would offer $750 per month, $500 deposit, a standard one year lease, and no cat fee.
I do like a red door and a deck and open country behind the house.
