So yeah. This line of dialogue has been plowing through my head, and I can’t for the life of me remember where it’s from. I vaguely remember someone half-yelling it at someone who they think isn’t dead, but maybe is?
“I. Know. You’re. FAKING IT!”

It’s stuck in my head like a bad earworm, and I could really use some relief!
Above Suspicion?
I think a Fish Called Wanda has the line “I am faking it!” or something like that. But I do recall “I know you’re faking it!”, punctuated as you showed it, in some movie.
I’ve never seen Above Suspicion, and I paged through the script for Wanda, and couldn’t find it, sadly.
Just to be clear — the one where Joe Mantegna is convinced that Christopher Reeve isn’t actually confined to a wheelchair, right?
That aside: you mentioned ruling out STEP BROTHERS; for what it’s worth, that’s also a line that comes up in another Will Ferrell movie, LAND OF THE LOST.
I can hear this line in Steve Martin’s voice. I know he pretends to be in a wheelchair in “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.” Could that be it? Or what about “All Of Me?” There’s a lot faking going on in that movie.
“They think. THEY think… you’re faking it.” Is from the movie One Flew Over The Cukoo’s Nest. Which is followed by a sly “who, me?” grin from Jack Nicholson.
Could it have been the cop hassling a (pretending to be blind and disabled) Eddie Murphy in Trading Places?
Jason Bateman gets thrown down a staircase by someone who thinks he’s faking a disability in THE EX (which isn’t really a spoiler; it’s in the trailer).
Correction on my post. Upon furthe remembering, lhe Cukoo’s Nest (movie) line is more like:
“They think, THEY think… you’ve been faking it.”
Damn. I had -hoped- it was that. I could hear it in his voice, too. But checking both scripts, bupkis.
Hmm. Maybe another Steve Martin movie, then. Also, what about trying to find the line that likely preceded this one? Maybe something like “You may have fooled everyone else but…” or “I won’t let you get away with this because…”
I don’t know. Maybe it will jog someone’s memory.
The bit on COMMUNITY, where they think Señor Chang is faking amnesia — excuse me, Changnesia — because, seriously, he would, wouldn’t he?

It’s been awhile since I’ve seen it, but was it The Man Who Knew Too Little? I remember there was a dead guy and Bill Murray said, “You gotta be careful; they might be able to CATCH THIS!” And he doesn’t.
