Do any of you have any experience with using small wireless video cameras? I’m looking for something like a pen camera, but that could be attached to a catcher’s mask or an umpires mask: among other similar uses. Basically I’m looking for something that is small enough to be attached to a person, but not hand held.
devilsknew,
Thanks for the link; and it’s affordable to! Do you have any experience with it? I can’t tell how it connects. I’m also looking into ‘camera glasses’ too.
Ha ha, no, but that cracked me up. Actually I’m an umpire trainer; I think I can see some benefits to having POV video for training umpires. I’m looking for affordable solutions. Since this is something I just thought of today while I was officiating a double header; I’m not really sure what I’m looking for.
My unofficial wish list of requirements are: [ul]
[li]small enough to mount on a mask and/or be worn on the head while working bases[/li][li]affordable (naturally). I’d prefer something in the $150 or less range, but I don’t even know if that’s feasible[/li][li]Would prefer color video.[/li][li]it would be nice to have sound, but not a requirement.[/li][li]probably don’t need longer than a 2 hour recording time[/li][/ul]

Less then 20 grams. The batteries are only good for an hour of avi. video and sound. You can get one for 30 bucks or less.
There are tons of wearable cameras in your price range. Many built specifically to go on bike rider’s helmets. Google wearable camera or wearable camcorder.
