So I’ve been having snatches of this song in my head for two days and I can’t remember what the actual song is and it’s driving me crazy. I will start ripping out throats any time now. Help me keep my kin alive.
Details : it’s a hip hop song, relatively recent I think (though it’s really not my typical scene), and by relatively I’d say “sometime in the past 10 years” and probably notorious - I’m definitely not talking about some B-side track by a garage band from DesMoines. Bombastic sound, very pump-you-up, action movie soundtrack if you will. The kind you’d put over a slow motion powerwalk or possibly some slowmo dolly shot circling around a sexy sports car. In fact I’m pretty sure I must have heard it *as *a movie soundtrack. Black guy voice - but then that only rules out Eminem I suppose :o
The structure seems to go : 7 syllables of fast spoken verse with (maybe ?) a slowdown on the next-to-last (so tatatatatataaata I think), then 2-note brass call or accent if you will (again, in a very energetic and bombastic style), then another spoken line. Not much guitar that I can remember.
