Your favorite recent earworm

I’ve probably listened to this a half-dozen times in the past few days - Cobra Starship, “You Make Me Feel…” A catchy melody and an infectious beat:

(See if you recognize the movie star in a cameo, and his daughter).

And yours?

Leavin’ on a Jet Plane.

Been travelling a bit too much recently - two trips to Ottawa in a week.

Stephen Colbert and Harry Belafonte singing Jamaica Farewell. I can’t remember the last time I had an earworm I liked so much that I listened to it repeatedly just to put it back in my head.

Adele’s Rollin’ In the Deep. I can pretty much ‘turn it on’ inside my head when I want to. LOVE THAT SONG!

I can’t get the musical number from this season’s premeire of Community out of my head. I’m pretty sure I’m not supposed to genuinely like it, but I do.

Thanks to a considerate co-worker, “They’re Coming To To Take Me Away, Ha Ha.”

Colours” by Grouplove.

It’s been stuck for weeks.

I woke up with “Baby, You’re a Rich Man” by the Beatles in my head. I love the Beatles, but that’s not even in my top fifty favorites. But it keeps looping over and over. Ack.

ETA: Too early for Comprehension. *Favorite *recent earworm? “Be Aggressive” by Faith No More.

Nineteen.

“Yakety Yak” by the Coasters. I’m the director of a high school play, and that’s in one scene. I can’t help it, the expression given by one little guy just tickles me to death. It’s a stupid song, but that’s what’s in there right now.

“Run to Me” by the Bee Gees. It was in my head for 4 days. I like the song, but not THAT much.

My bologna has a first name…

Have fun with that one.

It’s H-O-M-E-R.

I can’t get that insidious “Pumped Up Kicks” out of my head. I heard it for the first time (don’t listen to a lot of radio) last week, and now I must have heard it 100 times since. It’s everywhere, and in my freaking head!

I have had Kelly Clarkson’s “Long Shot” playing in my brain regularly for about a month now. Apparently it’s a very catchy little tune.

Right now I’m dealing with three, all of which are welcome:

[ul]
[li]The jazz standard “You Go To My Head,” because of a new guy in my life.[/li][li]“Tonight Tonight” by Hot Chelle Rae. Dumbest band name ever, but quite a catchy tune.[/li][li]Karen Carpenter’s “Merry Christmas, Darling,” because in a couple of weeks I’m recording a cover of it for a charity Christmas CD.[/ul][/li]Usually I go around humming/singing whatever the last song I heard was, but the above titles have been stuck in my head all week.

“My Wife” by The Who.

FOW: Dip in The Ocean

I don’t even know what TV commercial or show was on in the other room the other day, but its sound was enough like these clips that I had to go find them again.

Now I have to play them over and over:

Metallica-Enter Sandman (Smooth Jazz Version)

and

Andy Plays Enter Sandman (Smooth Jazz Version)

That’s the catchiest, happiest tune about mass murder I’ve ever heard.
