Your current earworm?

I have Joan Jett’s I hate myself for loving you stuck in my head.

Worse, I had a roommate in college who would mangle the words on purpose and many of his words are part of the earworm. (I hate myself for sniffing glue being one of the least annoying.)

What’s in your head?

This

Free bump: Intriguing Funk Bass Line

Rotating between the theme from The Wild, Wild West, that music from the jump-rope sandwich meat (?) commercial, and something from Swan Lake.

Knead
Yeah, it’s a mess in here

Everyone’s a Little Bit Racist” from Avenue Q

Tommy heavenly6 - I’M YOUR DEVIL

Only just recently got it…it is awesome.

(A bit reminiscent, musically, of her earlier song Always Something New, but not in a bad way.)

Today I had “Heat of the Moment” by Asia and “Tijuana Taxi” by Herb Alpert.

Tiger Rag, by the Jack Payne band. Twitchy staccato 30s jazz, not so much an earworm as a colony of earsquirrels.

ZZ Top - Arrested for Driving While Blind

No complaints here.

Thisis stick in my head these days… EJ’s live version of “Birds”.

I have two theme songs going pestering my ear: Hawaii Five-O theme, and the Theme from The Magnificent Seven.

Both understandable:

Watched the new Hawaii Five-O for the first time Sunday night, after the football game and watched an old repeat of Cheers last night and the gang was humming the theme from the Magnificent Seven.

BTW, When typing Hawaii Five-O is with an “O” or a “0”. I chose “O” because that is how it is said, but I know the “Five-Oh” is supposed to be a play on 50. As in State #50.

Puff the magic Dragon.

I don’t know why it just popped into my head recently and won’t leave.

Nicki Minaj - Moment 4 Life

The “Soft Kitty” song, which apparently comes from Big Bang Theory. I’ve been singing it to my cats for the last two days since I first heard it.

Hybrid - Hooligan Spirit plays in my head all day long.

Don McLean – Babylon

(Although it’s entirely my own fault that it’s stuck in my head. I stuck it there by listening to this song all afternoon yesterday.)

“If I Should Fall From Grace With God”.

I know I’m way late as far as when this song first came out, but I did hear it for the first time on that commercial which has led me to listen to some other Pogues material.

Funny, but when I first heard it, I thought it was **The Proclaimers **or The Hooters!

Awesome how great they can play drunk!

Thanks

Q

Because my son mentioned* it yesterday, I’ve got Billy Stewart’s version of Summertime scatting through my head. P.S., I didn’t know Billy was so, um, rotund.

*He actually asked me, “What’s that Summertime with the brrraaappps all up in it?”

Don’t know where it came from, but I’ve had Keep the Ball Rolling, by Jay and the Techniques on neuro-repeat for days.

Nearer my God to Thee (instrumental string quartet version) because I watched Titanic last night. It was rifftraxxed Titanic though. I can’t stand the hokey parts of that movie without the MST3K voiceover. But I still cry when I see the mom reading her kids to sleep.
