And yeah, I hear ya…youth is definitely wasted on the young.
Wouldn’t it be great if everyone was born with a 100 year old body, and then got younger and younger until they died as an infant?
Think how much fun it would be to have all life’s experiences, and then start having the body to go along with it!
I’ve decided that everyone should be young and healthy and happy until about a week before they’re supposed to die – just enough time to get your affairs in order and say goodbye. The slow decline and narrowing range of options is what oppresses me.

This is the first chance I’ve had to respond; I deeply appreciate the kind words, the good wishes and the humorous responses. You are all a great bunch of people; the SDMB is a great place to spend my old age.
AND some of the responses from our Canadian neighbors have caused me to rethink my prejudices: I hereby retract every bad thing I’ve ever said about French-Canadians and I promise I will try very hard to never say anything bad about them again forever. I promise. Really.
My youth seems to have gone missing as well, but that’s OK. I’ll use my son’s for a while. (He won’t miss it; he just got a new video game.) Besides, his never seems to wear out. It’s just as good as new tomorrow.

If you find your youth, could you return my marbles also? I’m almost positive they are in the same place.

Yeah, and as the SDMB membership grows older it is only a matter of time until the default font size here becomes 28 and Dopefests will be held at Shady Pines from 2:00 PM until the 5:00 PM early bird specials start.
