Help me find some info on Hizbollah

I’m looking for some objective (as much as possible) information on Hezbollah (or however it should be spelled) and its interactions in the inner-workings of Lebanese politics. I’ve already scoured Google, and I’m looking for some other web-based sources. Any information on anything related to this relationship is useful to me.

Note: I never heard of “Hezbollah” before this post, so take what I say with a grain of salt. I dunno if these links are useful or accurate, but at least they’ll bump the post

I’m assuming you’ve already seen it since it’s the first or second Google hit, but if not, the Wikipedia article on Hezbollah is a good starting place. I’d be very, very wary of using it as a credible, objective source, but it can give you some vague ideas and get you links to other places/sites.

You can also get scholarly articles (not included with a general Google search) using a Google Scholar search.

Step 1: Sign up with the NSA
Step 2: Get a clearance and a need to know.
Step 3: Enjoy more info than you ever wanted regarding “The Party of God” and all of its operations.

Or…

You live in Monterey? Head on up to The Presido language school (up at the top of the hill) and hang around the Arab language school. It’s chock full of native Arabic speakers, many from Lebanon, Syria and Jordan, and folks with intelligence-gathering experience and familiarity with Hezbollah and many other players. 'course, they’d probably not be willing to talk unless you agreed to let them kill you.

I’ve seen the wikipedia. I need more authoritative sources that that, unfortunately. Thanks though, for the Google Scholar link, I’d totally forgotten about that.

inigo, I would talk to the DLI people, but I need web based, open sources.
