Help me find songs to make my mix!

I’m making a mix about my trip to Montreal for New Year’s Eve. I’m looking for songs that are about the following, if possible:

the state of Virginia
ice skating (please, no theme from Ice Castles :))
sailors
Burger King
karaoke
If you’re thinking of a song that just references the item somewhere, can you please give a snippet of lyrics? Thanks in advance for your help!

Sailors:
“Shiver Me Timbers” by Tom Waits.
“Mainland” by the Real McKenzies.
“In the Navy” by the Village People.

Yeah I ended up putting on “In the Navy.” Please scratch Virginia off the list, I found something to cover that topic. But please keep suggestions coming for the other things!

ice skating (please, no theme from Ice Castles :))
Burger King
karaoke

Sailors:

The Beach Boys - Sail On Sailor
The Beach Boys - Sloop John B

Burger King:

Jimmy Buffett - Cheeseburger In Paradise
Are there any songs about singing Karaoke?

Elliott Smith’s “Waltz #2” is set in a karaoke bar. This is referred to first in the beginning lines:

“First the mike, then a half-cigarette,
Singin’ Kathy’s Clown

Then later: “Here it is, the revenge to the tune
You’re No Good.”

Also, it’s a fantastic song.

“Humpty Dance” by Digital Underground mentions Burger King, though its not in the most savoury manner.

Hahaha yeah I’d thought of that line too, but thankfully none of us used the Burger King bathroom.

Now I’m just going to be ridiculous and say scratch the other ideas, and just give me a song about Canada! I already know “Blame Canada” and “Canada is Really Big” so gimme whatcha got!

Wesley Willis’ Rock and Roll McDonalds in which he compares Buger King favorably to McDonalds.

sailors: “All You Pretty Girls” by XTC

What’s the Jethro Tull song with the line “Skating away on the thin ice of a new day”?

If I Could Be Sonja Henie

you could use de la soul’s “bitties in the bk lounge.”

excellent song.

Barrett’s Privateers - Stan Rogers
Karaoke Lady - Canned Hamm

Might I urge you to reconsider on this one.

I don’t like Virginia
I went there in the winter
There were good ol’ boys in T-shirts
With a case or two of beer
And though I didn’t show my fear
I could tell that there was danger in their eyes

from Send My Body Home by Uncle Bonsai.

Oh, c’mon, What Would Brian Boitano Do?

Sailors:
“Salty Dog” by Procol Harum

Ice Skating:
“Hit Somebody” by Warren Zevon (Ice hockey involves ice skating.)

Thanks for the ideas everyone but I needed to get the mix done so I ended up completing it yesterday afternoon. Thanks again!
