Help me find spoof "meeting" poster

There are too many damned, unproductive meetings in my workplace.

I remember seeing a spoof poster that says something like “Feeling left out? Why not have a meeting!” that I intend to print out and stick on the wall, but I don’t seem to be able to pin it down online.

Does anyone have this, or know where on teh intarwebs I can find it?

You can make your own here: http://diy.despair.com/motivator.php

Here’s one , but I’ve seen them done with much better artwork

You should have a meeting to discuss this.

Aspidistra, that’s the one! I’d forgotten it was so badly designed though. Might have to redo it myself.

Oh no. I think I need to set up a project board to kick off a cross-departmental meeting investigation committee, with a 6-month-long schedule of bi-weekly two-hour discussion fora.

You’ll need:

  • a strong chairman, who can keep all contributions to the point
  • a competent secretary, who will circulate all the minutes in a timely fashion
  • a staff of photocopier clerks to make sure everyone has copies of the agenda / previous minutes / all proposed motions / research papers
  • plenty of people to come to the meetings

I have one I’m looking at right now. In my cube. I’ll email it to you. Give me a few minutes.

Check your gmail account - I sent it.

I have this posted next to my desk:

I have a coffee mug from Despair.com. It says

“MEETINGS: Because none of us is as dumb as all of us.”

Hold on there pal!

FIRST you need to;

  • define the project sponsor
  • prepare a mission statement
  • get approval from the steering committee to initiate the exploratory/evaluation phase
  • secure funding and obtain a work request and project code for every one to charge their time to
  • go through each departments SPOC (single point of contact) to secure resources from each department involved

Let’s keep this in line with policy, OK?

Thank you! Sadly, Gmail is throwing a fit tonight and I can’t see it. But I’ll have a look tomorrow.

I think we need a skills matrix to extablish best-match for this.

I started off with “Be better”, but subject to committee input, we have agreed on: "Be better (with reference to increased customer-facing paradigm shifts and multi-faceted service offerings in a global marketplace).

I got an out-of-office so I’m going to take an exec on that one. That OK?

I can’t do this without establishing the project board. Am I fucked?

I’ve convened an ongoing blue-sky workshop to discuss choosing the thought leaders. Are you free Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and next Sunday morning?

I’m afraid your plan doesn’t have the correct cover sheet on it. Did you get the cover sheet memo?

Really, you should have a pre-meeting to plan the meeting.
