Help me find story of anti-war campaingers son killed in Iraq

No, no Cindy Sheehan. The facts as I remember are (and its been like 6 years so I may have messed it up a bit).

I remember when the Iraq war began, there was a story about a US family which was very much involved in the anti-war effort, they organised marches, distributed leaflets, went overseas etc.

They had a son in the army and he was deployed to Iraq during the initial invasion. I believe he was killed in action a little after the actual invasion. From memory, he was an officer, a tanker maybe?

I think, times or newsweek ran the story.

I have always remembered this but have thus far been unable to find it.

Joe and Patricia Colgan?

I remember being moved a lot by it. Although not an American, I am from an army family and the stories touched a chord with me.
