This board has been great at finding things from a description. I have one more, but not much to go by;
I read this book about 5-6 years ago. It’s (supposedly) non-fiction and is about a woman and her obsessive relationship with a drug-addict man that she knows isn’t good for her but can’t seem to help herself. He eventually dies from an overdose and she cannot let hm go. She starts using a ouija board to contact him, makes contact, and then slowly starts losing all sense of reality. Her obsession becomes worse and all she lives for is to communicate with him…she does it in other forms as well (automatic writing, I think) Anyway, she literally goes crazy…stops eating, working, etc., until she (i think) ends up in a mental ward. Then I think the rest of the book was about her slowly recovering, etc.
When I read the book, it was in hardcover form, and I seem to remember the cover had clouds/sky on it…I seem to remember (though I could be wrong on this) that the title had something to do with steps/or a ladder “into the clouds”…
anyone…?
