Help me help my hair!

I can assure you, real placenta does not a) smell like flowers nor b) look like conditioner.

Edit: unless I produced some weird-ass placenta.

I use Aloe Vera (clear gel) when my hair gets particularly dry and frizzy, and it turns my hair silky smooth. My hairdresser has warned me not to use it too much because of the pH, but it works wonders when I do use it.

I have some aloe gel. What should I do with it, slather some on and let it sit for a while, and then shampoo it out? How long should I let it sit on my hair?

I’ve used it before but not as a treatment, more like a styling tool. A small glob run through wet hair seems to do well.

ETA: I’ve used the henna/placenta thing, it’s alright but far from a miracle worker. I like Biolage’s line too, their deep conditioning balm is really nice. I haven’t tried the Cholesterol stuff, but I’ve seen it. If it works that well I’m all for trying new things to try and moisturize my hair.
