Help me ID a juvenile book about a caveman?

Can do Kallessa.

Argh! I have come too late! I ID’d the book based on the title of the thread. I was a huge Kjelgaard fanatic when I was in the fourth grade.

His Irish Setter books are Big Red, Irish Red, and Outlaw Red.

Other awseome doggy-outdoorsy books are Snow Dog and Wild Trek.

Never read the Aborigine one, though.

And sorry, Baker, the second book isn’t ringing any bells.

I had a look - the one about the aborigine was Boomerang Hunter. There are several websites.

I still have my copy of Forest Patrol, and I reread it last night. Still holds up.

Regards,
Shodan

Update:

In my post of 3-12-03 I asked about another book in which a lost world of cave dwellers and dinosaurs is discovered.

I’ve finally found the answer. I posted to a bookstore website that has a “Bookstumper” feature and just today someone listed a “Bibliography of Prehistoric Fiction” So I started to slog through the 1023 entries, and, in the F’s(authors) found it.

The book is Adventure in Forgotten Valley, by Glyn Frewer. My thanks to all who viewed this thread when first posted and tried to help. God, I love the Internet. I’d never have found the book without it.

BTW, Kallessa, the firemen at the station on Oakley here in Topeka thank you for the cookies!
