Help me ID this Christmas Song rendition

It’s a version of Sleigh Ride. You know…

“Come on it’s lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you…”

This version is done by a female singer, slowed down in tempo, kind of a jazzy feel with perhaps modern instruments. The distinctive feature is after the main singing of the main verses (if that even happened) there is a long middle section/outro of nothing but instrumental with the female singer occassionally piping in with a portion of the refrain “Lovely weather for a sleigh ride together” or something like that… repeated over and over, with long, luxurious instrumental gaps between the repetitions.

If it helps: I heard it while shopping at Bombay. I asked what CD was playing. Clerk said it was a special MP3 CD of about 100 or more Christmas tunes.

I know it’s not much to go on, but if anyone can I know you can…

If any of you are Bombay employees and can quote the playlist, wow. It was a great mix I’d love to have playing in the background at our at-home Christmas parties.

Tap…tap…tap… Is this thing on?

Sounds like something Streisand would do.

Could be the Ella Fitzgerald rendition from the Elf soundtrack.

You could try browsing the Jazz section at Tower Records.

Thanks for the leads.

I’ve ruled out one by Diana Krall, and the original Ella recording. Perhaps the Elf soundtrack is a remix - that’s consistent with what I’ve heard. Pretty sure it wasn’t Babs though.

Holy Crimmeny! Everyone has recorded “Sleigh Ride” I didn’t see the Sex Pistols version, though - probably on page 74!
