This was a film from the 90’s. No later than 1997, so anything that came out 1998 or later is not it.
It was about a cop and a psychopath.
It begins with the psychopath telling his victim that sexual perversion is a sign of intelligence, so the fact that he’s getting on torturing his victim proves he deserves to do whatever he likes.
It turns out the victim is the cop’s partner. The cop knows who did it, but can’t get evidence on him and somehow gets an Italian assassin to come to the UK.
Now, during the rest of the film, the Italian assassin is trying to listen to an English language tape, with the phrase “The money is in the bag.”
Oh, the assassin is female.
Now, for some reason there’s a group of hoodlums trying to kill the assassin. I can’t for the life of me remember why, though. They burst in on her while she’s listening to the tape - and she takes all but one of them out. Then has sex with the one live one… and then kills him.
Then the climax of the film is some scene in a tube escalator, and the cop, the assassin, and the psychopath are all on the escalator, and the cop is trying to tell the assassin that “The money is in the bag!” She figures it out, kills the psycho, and leaves. And everyone left alive is very happy.
And I can’t recall the title to save my life. And it’s driving me sane!
