Help me ID this old Roddy McDowell movie...

I saw this movie as a very young kid, and my recollections are obscure enough that I am not getting much help from the IMDB.

What I remember of the movie is that Roddy McDowell is some kind of relation to this old guy in a wheelchair. At an opportune moment, he pushes the geezer out a window. Later, as the movie progresses, a painting in the house that McDowell has now inherited, begins showing changes. The changes indicate that the old guy is not really dead, or has risen again, and is coming after McDowell.

Does this sound familiar to anyone??

Sound vaguely like a “Night Gallery” episode, but I’m probably wrong. Check out Roddy’s IMDb listing and see if anything rings a bell.

Yeah, I remember this episode, and it’s listed in IMDB. He made it in 1969.

BTW, two things

  1. Yomsemite, you’re not wrong … good memory, in fact.
  2. Roddy didn’t push the guy out the window. The poor man was sick and immobilized in a wheelchair. Roddy’s character blocked the wheelchair, opened the windows, and let the guy freeze to death.
