Help me ID this song and artist

I heard this on the 80’s radio station the other day, and I thought it sounded familiar. Really stupid song, but I can’t get it out of my brain. And the radio station is automated, so they never give out names of artists after the song plays. Mr. Beckwall, master of all music, says he has never heard it and that I am hallucinating (again). The only lyrics I remember are “Nothing matters but the weekend, from a Tuesday point of view”.

No problem whatsoever about finding the song. I face this problem almost weekly. In fact, I’m about to start a query going on even less than what you had – I’m going to write the note names of the hook I remember.
