Help me ID this WWII movie

I saw a bit of on TV once. It’s black and white, probably made during the war. A group of American GIs – naval aviators, I think – are captured by the Japanese and are put on trial, for ordinary civil crimes, in a civilian court. I think it might have been based on a real incident, but I’m not sure. There’s some political bickering between the Japanese Army and Navy involved, and at one point the judge announces in open court that Corregidor, Philippines, has fallen to the Japanese, and then all soldiers present do a sort of march-dance.

The Purple Heart (1944)

That’s it! Thanx!
